
Dongguan Kenatal Die Casting Special Steel Co., Ltd. was established in 2006. The company operates from an 8,000-square-meter independent garden-style factory located in Xiegang Town—the eastern gateway of Dongguan, home to the city's highest peak. In 2015, we introduced a high-performance German vacuum heat treatment furnace. By 2023, we further invested in a 13-bar high-performance vacuum furnace specifically for new energy integrated die-casting, capable of processing single mold cores weighing up to 5 tons. Equipped with a dedicated CNC machining workshop for molds, we provide customers with one-stop solutions. Additionally, in 2021, we acquired a Swiss PVD vacuum coating machine, establishing a specialized division for nanocoating surface strengthening treatment of die-casting molds.
Kenatal's Hot Work Tool Steel Division is the first professional enterprise in South China dedicated exclusively to serving the die-casting mold manufacturing industry for copper, magnesium, and aluminum alloys. The company has established strategic cooperation agreements with SIJ Special Steel Group—a 400-year-old Slovenian steelmaker known as 'Europe's Little Switzerland'—and CITIC Daye Special Steel (formerly a century-old steel mill founded by Qing Dynasty official Zhang Zhidong, and the only steel plant featuring a villa where Chairman Mao once stayed). We also maintain close partnerships with military-grade steel producers such as Great Wall Special Steel and Fushun Special Steel. Our technical department, integrating the strengths of Swedish and German steelmaking technologies, has jointly developed higher technical standards with Daye Special Steel. Compared to conventional steel mill specifications, these standards impose stricter requirements on smelting purity, metallurgy, forging, and non-destructive testing. By adopting 3D multi-directional forging technology, we enhance the steel’s resistance to heat checking, tempering stability, and erosion durability. Our premium KNT8418SUP series breaks away from conventional smelting processes, replacing standard ESR (Electroslag Remelting) and EFS (Electroflux Refining) methods with Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR)—a technique typically reserved for aerospace and military applications. This elevates impact toughness from ~350J to ~410J, despite increasing procurement costs by over 20%, all to significantly extend the service life of die-casting molds.
